Steven Nolan – The Nature Of The Political Economy

Dr Steven Nolan works for an organisation called Trademark based in Belfast. The organisation does work around anto-sectarianism and political education. Trademark word closely with Unite and other progressive trade unions throughout Ireland, in delivering courses around the nature and history of the political economy.

Steven will develop a broad global understanding of the nature of the political economy.

Matthew Brown – Local Fightback – The Preston Model & Community Wealth

Matthew Brown has recently been elected as leader of Preston Council.

He is a Unite member who is the key player behind the ‘Preston Model’ of community wealth building/ Matthew speaks about the Preston model and how it has grown the local economy in Preston and what lessons we could learn in relation to building our own local economies.
