Nicky Marcus – The Trade Union Act and its impact on Unite disputes.

Unite officer Nicky Marcus was herself a former sacked British Airways Cabin Crew striker from the 2010 cabin crew dispute. She will discuss how current legislation creates challenges for striking workers and how we overcome those challengers.

Nicky then chairs a discussion with striking workers from TGI Fridays and MacDonalds who will talk about the nature of their strikes in the hospitality and servicing sector, a key target area for unions.

There is also an opportunity for delegates to ask key questions in this session and it is followed by as activity on strikes in Britain today.
